Scout in Slack

Cards and buttons

Every card Scout posts in Slack, what each button does, and what the candidate receives when you press it.

Scout uses cards when there is a decision to make or a result to read. This page lists every card, when it appears, and what each button does. Buttons act immediately unless the card says otherwise.

Confirm before I do this

Appears before any destructive or expensive action: queueing outreach, going live, deletes, revoking or resetting an interview, re-grading, team invites, and settings changes. The card states exactly what will happen.

✋ Confirm before I do this:

Queue 12 people for LinkedIn outreach (Priya Shah, Tom Wells, Ana Ruiz, ...) for the SDR role.

Only the person who asked can confirm. Expires in 15 minutes.

If someone else presses a button: "Only the person who requested this action can confirm or cancel it." After 15 minutes: "Expired - ask me again if you still want this."

Interview scorecard

The full scorecard for one candidate. It opens in a thread when you press See more on a digest, and is what the Scorecards page shows on the web.

  • Candidate name and email, and the role
  • Verdict: FIT, PARTIALLY FIT, NOT FIT or UNGRADED, with a score out of 100 and a bar. Green from 70, amber from 40, red below.
  • A one-paragraph summary, key signals, strengths and concerns
  • Competency ratings as stars out of five
  • "Graded by Scout AI" and the date
ButtonResult
Make an introScout sends the candidate your booking link on LinkedIn. The first time, it asks you in the thread: "Happy to make that intro - what's your booking link?" and remembers it.
View full scorecardOpens the scorecard on the dashboard.
RejectAsks "Reject this candidate?" with Send the decline. Scout then sends a short, polite decline on LinkedIn.

Make an intro and Reject appear on Fit and Partially fit verdicts. How grading works is in Scorecards.

Pipeline digest

Posted to your notification channel on your schedule, weekly on Monday at 09:00 by default, or on request with "weekly summary".

  • Pipeline status for the period: sourced and contacted, in conversation, screening started, screening completed
  • A by-role split of what was sent and what is waiting, when you have more than one role live
  • Active roles
  • Interviews completed: a carousel of up to ten scorecards, each with the score, verdict, role and a short summary

More than ten completed interviews in one period shows the top ten and points you to the dashboard for the rest. A workspace with no activity in the period, or whose trial has ended, gets no digest.

CV review

Posted when a candidate on a CV-review role sends their CV. There is no score, on purpose: a person decides.

No AI screening for this role - you decide from the CV. Interested sends your booking link. · Open CV · Open candidate

InterestedNot interested
ButtonResult
InterestedScout sends your booking link on LinkedIn, or by email if LinkedIn is unavailable. Asks for the link the first time.
Not interestedAsks "Not interested?" with Send it. Scout then tells the candidate you will not be moving forward.

The card records who decided. If nobody presses a button within three days, Scout posts it again as "Still waiting: Priya Shah". The CV link in the card works for seven days; the candidate's page on the dashboard keeps the file. See AI screening or CV review.

Needs a human answer

Posted when a candidate asks something Scout cannot answer from your company knowledge, for example a question about equity or a relocation package.

  • Who asked, for which role, and the question in their words
  • A LinkedIn button to open the conversation

Reply in the thread with the answer. Scout says "Got it - saved to the agent's knowledge base" and answers the candidate on its next pass, within about 15 minutes. The answer is kept, so the next candidate who asks the same thing is answered without you. The same question is escalated at most once every six hours.

Notes in the channel

Not cards, but things Scout posts as plain messages in your notification channel:

  • Every LinkedIn exchange as it happens: "LinkedIn - Priya Shah (Head of Sales)" with what they said and what Scout replied
  • "Priya Shah asked not to be contacted. Scout has added them to your do-not-contact list and stopped replying."
  • A candidate on a CV-review role who said they were interested but has not sent a CV after two asks
  • Usage notes when your outreach reaches half and 80 percent of its monthly allowance, and a pause notice if it reaches the limit. Say "go live" to resume once you have talked to Scout about the limit.
